Tanner and Kristin met one cold February night in the University of Alabama recreation center. Kristin joined an intramural basketball team looking for a fun activity, unaware that she would meet the love of her life. Soon after meeting, they would often come early to practices, playing one-on-one challenges, and leave late, always saying goodbye as Tanner walked her to her car. Tanner soon worked up the courage to “shoot his shot” and scored an official date with Kristin. They went to Newk’s and used their campus money to buy dinner, very fitting for college students. Kristin still remembers what they wore, what they ate, and where they sat that night. But most of all, she remembers how Tanner made her feel. Tanner remembers how easy he found it to talk to Kristin and share his life stories. Three and a half years later, they still cherish these qualities in each other along with countless others. Tanner proposed on June 27th, 2025 in Destin, Florida with both families present. It is remembered by the couple as being a perfect night, and it was the start of their forever.
